Sushi-San x Stock Mfg
We’ve made custom aprons for Sushi-San staff for years, so when they approached us about expanding their merch program, we were excited to dive in. With three Chicago locations and a high-end sister restaurant (The Omakase Room), Sushi-San had already established the bold “SUSHI” motif that was a natural fit for new products.

We crafted cozy crewneck sweatshirts from a heavy yet soft poly/cotton fleece-lined terry. We selected three color options: olive green, bone white, and black. Felt appliqués stitched to the chest spell out “SUSHI,” and the interior boasts a co-branded label.

For the hats, we drew inspiration from vintage Japanese wool baseball caps. Mirroring the sweatshirts, the fronts feature SUSHI in felt appliqués. We elevated the back closure from a standard snapback to a genuine leather strap and heavy-duty metal buckle.

To ensure Sushi-San fans are covered head-to-toe, we designed a few different quarter-length socks. They’re sold a la carte or in 4-packs cleverly packaged in maki-inspired to-go boxes with a bamboo print.
